Alien Drug Busts

Much of this week’s episode revolves around a controlled alien substance. Part of our conversation revolved around how this was allowed to get through censors in the early 90’s. Most of my memories at that time were of the Dare messaging everywhere.

I remember arcades where every game was plastered with a say no to drugs message. Both in the game video and on the physical consoles. Narc was one of the worst. A game where you have to gun slaughter thousands of gang members while saying no to drugs is constantly in your face. Or the Aerosmith game where music was literally transformed into gun violence.

They really want far putting guns directly into kids hands Kill drug users, use anything you have at hand. Music is no longer sacred.

While putting guns directly into kids’ hands. I see no issues

Sheridan comes down decisively on the protesting shopkeepers. Go Resistance!

Ask not what your ship can do for you

His quote here goes right to the heart of why it bothers me when people miss the original intention of the Spider-man quote. Great responsibility does not auto-magically come with great power. In fact, we’ve seen plenty of examples of people in high places completely abusing that power. People need to scale their responsibility for others up as they obtain more power.

but what you can do for your ship Well put, Tron

Vir pulling some serious Mimbari appropriation.

Sheridan’s Mimbari telepath reminded me of Dou Jones. Imagine your boss calling you into his office and this is what you see.

Creepiness factor alone will put Bester on tilt How to intimidate a Psi-Corp member

Franklin uses odd metaphors. In this case, the mountain falling was a real avalanche, then a psychic one.

Piecing toether the madness Fuck it all, Let Franlkin sort it out

Londo is better at issuing threats than taking them.

Centauri vs Drazi Remind me not to negotiate with Londo

G’Kar gets a hold of the dust and immediately goes on a massive trip.

Must... Find... MOllari! Nothing like an intense trip across the ship

Meanwhile, Garibaldi is engaging in his favorite activity… impersonating a tough cop in the interrogation room.

Bad Practice ...will you kiss me?

G’Kar gets revenge for colonizers everywhere, starting with appropriators.

G'Kar Smash! I said stick to your own culture!

G’Kar invades Londo’s mind and makes him see in 3D.

I know your secrets I will take everything from you, Mollari
My Mind!!! OWW!!!!! My Precious mind secrets!

Kosh, once again using his angel form to plant mind suggestions. THis time, making G’Kar more at peace.
