YGCTO Episode 16b - Space Chaste
The Altering Era Continues
OK, I know I did an extra article this week on the Fedorov alter. That was a preparation exercise before the next big altering project.
If you’re actually reading, you’re likely either related to me or you heard the website plug on Gamefully Unemployed or Jeff May’s podcast. Or most likely, your name is Andres Alvarez. I’ve been looking for a way to contribute more over on Jeff’s Patreon. Since he does a lot of pack breaking and comic art related content, I’m going to up my participation and send him altered cards to include to his Patrons.
The eventual goal is to pick out cards from Jeff’s pack breaks to alter. Once we have around eight picked out, Jeff will send me those cards and I’ll alter them. We’re still working out how to distribute the cards with Jeff’s usual packages.
For the first round, I’ve made it easier on the mailing and logistics by picking a batch of eight cards Jeff has sent me in the past. Once the batch is done, I’ll call it the Slatronica Premier Alters Series I: Random Jabronis. That gets sent off to Jeff and we go from there to get them into Patron hands.
The Slatronica Premier Alter Series I: Random Jabronis*
Here’s the selections I made for the first series. Nothing as perfect as that Fedorov pose staring into a holy puck, but I should be able to churn out a couple good pieces from this set.
Selected for series 1
And the first step starts with masking. The trusty lt blue Poco paint pen is my best friend here.
Masked and ready
It’s a big weekend. I have a guitar student on their way here in 10 minutes and a board game night with 26 people coming over to my house in the evening. Lotsa prep. I’ll wait until my next article to go into some of the design ideas I have for the series. It’ll be all stained glass ‘cause that’s my headspace right now. Color-by-numbers is fun. Especially when I’m the one making the numbers 8 )>

This Week’s Guests
Logan Trent - wormhole selfie
Oh yeah, the show. Logan is rad. We had technical difficulties on my end for this recording and Logan was still a professional throughout. We get some more solid X-Men as Babylon 5 inspiration takes. And a bonus story where young Logan met an unknown Babylon 5 actor.
Logan Trent is the co-host of the “WNBYay” podcast on the “You Don’t Even Like This” Network and Wrestlemovie on Gamefully Unemployed.
What Did We Learn?
Young Logan started out not taking shit from ANYONE on Babylon 5 and that holds to this day.
Next Episode
For the next full episode, we cover Babylon 5: Season 4 Episode 14 “Moments of Transition” with John Reinman. Coming to you Sunday, March 8th.
