YGCTO Episode 15 - The Long Night
End of an Arc
We extended our coverage of season 4 to eight episodes. The original plan was to stick to four per season. But JMS himself had to use a lot of story compression to fit seasons four and five into one.
We found a decent way to cheat after the War Without End episode went under time covering two episodes. We don’t like to do that, but it helps to keep our series moving along at a good pace.
Season four handles at least three major story arcs and several smaller ones. The political fall of Cartagia is a crucial arc that is wrapped up here. There’s so much story here, we cover the next episode in Season 4 as it concludes the long-runninsg Shadow/Vorlon/First Ones arc.
I've also been playing a lot of this monstrosity lately
Dre and I still have four more podcasts planned to finish Season 4. After that, I think we have a good way to de-compress the pace again for Season 5.
